Amazing and very elegant vintage-styled Grecian-looking dress, Hayley Paige Fall 2016 style 5653 in the blush color. Paid $310 due to the plus size (“regular” sizes were $265) did $235 worth of extensive alterations, wore once for 5 hours, promptly professionally dry-cleaned. Picture 1 shows front, picture 2 shows the modesty panel in the front, picture 3 shows the back, picture 4 shows the crystal clusters on the shoulders, picture 5 shows the modest panel in the back, picture 6 shows the label, picture 7 shows the two small stains (to the left and right of my fingernails – yellowness in the photo is due to the lighting, they are nearly invisible to photograph and completely invisible when dress is on!), picture 8 shows an example of what a pulled thread looks like. There are a couple, they are hard to find and will not be visible when dress is on! Detailed alterations as follows: Dress is tagged as size 22W, fit like a 20W, had taken in to fit like a 16W/18W (fit on the looser side, measurements to follow.) (My bra size is 38G and I fit in here with room to spare after the alterations, for what that’s worth. This is a GREAT dress for anyone with a large bust.) I am 5′ 7″ and wore 3 3/4″ heels and the dress was STILL partially over my shoes, so there’s room for it to be taken up more if desired, and it would still be plenty long on someone who’s taller. If you’re the size that fits in this dress, you, like me, will probably have a heck of a time finding a bra that doesn’t hang out of the VERY low back and front – so I had some alterations done with the fabric removed from the extra length. Professional seamstress put in a beautiful pleated modesty panel in the front that looks like it was original to the dress. Don’t get me wrong: still shows cleavage, it just means you aren’t showing three-quarters of a boob. In the back, the seamstress made a delicate panel which will hide the back of your bra. It hooks in at top and bottom. Important note: if you WANT to be hanging out in front and back, you can remove these very simply! In fact, while taking pictures, I discovered this had come unstitched somewhat during dry-cleaning (it was stitched very loosely to begin with). Shoulder straps were taken up too, because the torso was INSANELY long. I stitched the skinny belt down myself because it had ripped out while trying on the first time I picked it up (they’re held in by a thread). Note that in pictures, the belt looks like it’s sagging – as soon as you have it on, the slack is taken up by your waistline. The belt and loops are purely decorative, and could absolutely be removed if not desired. Dress is thickly lined and there is boning in the bodice, but the great thing about the width of the straps is that you can wear a NORMAL bra under this, and it’s so well lined you don’t have to wear Spanx either! Measurements (not exact – dress has a lot of expansion, not stretchy, but because of the pleating, there’s a lot of give!) Bust: 48″ Waist: 40″ Shoulder to hem: 62″ Hip: 50″+ (loose fit, can “stretch” a few inches more!) Notes on condition: the dress has been altered as described, some tiny and minor thread pulls happened (some of these were caused by alteration: chiffon is a temperamental beast). There are two MINISCULE stains (like watermarks). None of this is visible when the dress is on, because it’s so full-skirted. I have done my absolute best to fairly describe and picture the dress, if I can help with further pictures, just let me know. Please feel free to ask any questions.
